Julie Helmus:   Ms. Helmus serves as a Communications Associate, and joined Freedom from Hunger in 2006.  She is responsible for overseeing and coordinating public outreach and communications projects for Freedom from Hunger’s Communications and Philanthropic Giving Team.  On the side, she is also a columnist for The Davis Enterprise, a daily publication with a circulation of 20,000. Prior to joining Freedom from Hunger, Ms. Helmus worked as an interpreter and cultural mediator at a wild animal rescue center in the Costa Rican rainforest.
